*An honest narrative from a retired HS teacher from NYC, now a permanently transplanted, snow-bird in South Florida. Just imagine for a second the magnitude, at least for me this was a pretty huge, complicated and to say the least, one of the biggest challenges of my life. Making the decision to relocate by ones’ self all the way to “sunny Florida” ...flying-solo, with no family, friends or acquaintances to speak of here in So. Florida nor with me on this life-journey. But, I figured... that the challenge was well worth it. As a new experience, it invites a wonderful new chapter in my now new life as a retiree from New York! Sunny days ahead I thought: my arthritis & other health related concerns would @least be abated. Not 2mention, with the promise of no longer having to deal w/ the huge cost of living & all of the quality of life issues that Brooklyn & the city presents, which was for me, all but a done deal. I was so looking forward to not having to: “shovel snow/salt no more” or the hassle of having to move my car most days of the week for alternate-side of the street sweeping that is always the case in NYC Contrary to all of this was just too enticing a deal to pass up. So, I was in! I’m moving to SoFlo. Well, that happened in early July 2017. To date, just barely over 60days. As fate would it, I met Mr. Mike Camardello shortly after my arrival. And right away we hit it off. Without delving into the many, sordid details of my so far...short-tenure here, I scarcely have enough words to convey all that Mike has done to help me out. Totally! From experience, I’m cognizant of the procedures that real-estate reps will follow to accomplish a goal. Matter of fact, most reps would never, ever even consider going beyond their normal course of action to extend themselves in ways. Actually, & sad 2say but for many, the “singular-goal” is most-likely to be the prized-commission at the end of a deal’s closing. In stark contrast, nothing/no-one so far, can be compared to Mike Camardello. This agent from Better Homes & Gardens has gone beyond, & waay out on the limb for me. And in so many ways! Examples abound, but let me try to encapsulate. Taking me under his wing, he’s: •Continued to befriend, encourage and support my transition to this very day & even as I pen this anecdotal. •On my behalf Mike Camardello has summoned the resources & energy required to mediate all of my business transactions related to the purchase and administration of my real-estate investments. •In so doing, he has processed, conciliated, and rendered complete *all documents to title companies, condo applications, and other related paper-work with respect to all five investments. •Arranging for & over-seen *all Home Inspections, Surveys & other incidentals pertinent to my properties. •Because my car’s NY inspection sticker had now expired, & facing the ever present sluggish bureaucracy to renew/secure new Florida tags, believe it or not, Mike would selflessly drives me to closings and other important mtgs that I need to attend relative to these business transactions. •When that wasn’t enough, for my new home he arranged for pool & lawn maintenance, utility company dealings & other minutiae/incidentals. •Of particular value to me was Mike’s deportment during hurricane Irene’s horrifying threat & assault to us in So. Florida. Insisting that I shouldn’t be alone. He encouraged me to take respite at his home! Not wanting to impose, I initially found reason to temporarily “shelter” at a nearby school. •Apparently that wasn’t enough, Mike drove over to my home in Wilton Manors a day later & brought me means to charge my phone, an emergency care-kit and a hug....insisting again that I could stay at his home. QUESTION: I may ask as to, who else would’ve done any of this for me? My circumstance being, a total stranger with no one to turn to in these neck o’the woods. *pls pardon my colloquialism Frankly, I had no idea that an actual, Earth-bound angel existed in Broward County. Much to my great surprise & delight, I’ve actually met one. And his name is Michael Camardello! Now much more than just a business-as-usual relationship, I think that I’ve found a life-long, & trusted friend in Mr. Camardello. Such has been my experience as a newly residing So. Floridian, and new acquaintance of Mike’s. In closing, I’d be most remiss if I’d omitted saying; that it is indeed a rare opportunity, extraordinary & exceptional in circumstance to have had the good fortune and blessing to have met, & to work with Mike Camardello. In this sale, it took 5 months, with about 20x the past number of interactions. Mike handled all of this without any issues or complaints. Since the property was remote, and I couldn’t be there for final inspection, and we were worried since a tenant was living there for those 5 months, Mike was there for the inspection and final walk through!
